Last updated: May 22, 2026Privacy PolicyTerms of Service

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies CVWiser uses, why we use them, and how you can control non-essential cookies such as Google Analytics 4 (GA4).

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as local storage and pixels) may be used for the same purposes. This policy describes how CVWiser uses these technologies on cvwiser.com.

How we use cookies

We use cookies to:

  • keep you signed in and maintain secure sessions;
  • remember preferences necessary for the service to function;
  • measure traffic and usage with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to improve the product.

For broader data processing, see our Privacy Policy.

Essential cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for authentication and security. They cannot be switched off in our systems without breaking core functionality (login, account access, and session protection).

  • Authentication session cookies — set by our auth provider (Supabase) to maintain your signed-in state. Duration: session or as configured by the auth provider.

Legal basis (EEA): legitimate interests and/or performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use CVWiser (e.g. pages viewed, approximate location at country/city level, device and browser type, and referral source). This helps us improve performance and content. Measurement ID: G-65T4NYQHMJ.

GA4 may set cookies such as:

  • _ga — distinguishes users. Typical duration: up to 2 years.
  • _ga_* — session state for GA4. Typical duration: up to 2 years.

Google may also process IP addresses and online identifiers. See Google's privacy documentation for details on how Google uses data from sites that use its analytics services.

Managing cookies

You can control cookies in several ways:

  • Browser settings — block or delete cookies in your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.). Blocking essential cookies may prevent login.
  • Google Analytics opt-out — install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or use browser "Do Not Track" / privacy extensions.
  • Google Ads settings — if applicable, manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.

Third-party cookies

Third parties (such as Google) may set cookies when you use our site. We do not control third-party cookies. Review their policies:

Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy when we change analytics tools or cookie practices. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest version.
